Translation |
25. Esau, hairy and ruddy, is the people of the Jews, sanguine in their impious persecution of Christ and the prophets, known by the sign of their hairy skin and horrible in their covering of sins. 26. But Jacob shows Christ, or the people of nations, who were preferred in the blessing of God the Father before the people of the Jews. 27. Laban has the image of the law and the devil, from whose body Christ took two spouses to himself, of the people of the circumcision and of the nations. |
