Ravennatis anonymi cosmographia (601 - 800) Anonymous - Other |
Quotation |
Translation |
For, as has been stated before, with Christ's help I will bring forward various things to discuss subtly by your order, unless I am mistaken, unless various peoples out of excess pride desiring other or better homelands or perhaps sorely afflicted by other nations migrated from their own soil, as the way of barbarians is, and perhaps some countries were once named different things, or cities or rivers were once called differently.
