asia peregrinantes ciues romanos atque innumerabili copia suis negotiis intentos uno die occidi iussit; et factum est. |
Translation |
But, as I say, I omit these things. I certainly cannot pass over Mithridates, however: the king of Asia who commanded that all Roman citizens dwelling anywhere in Asia – where enormous numbers were pursuing their business – were to be put to death.
