Quotation ὁ βασιλεὺς (...) παϱέλυσε δὲ ϰαὶ τὴν μετὰ τῶν Βουλγάϱων παγιωϑεῖσαν εἰϱήνην διαταϱάξας τοὺς ὑπὸ τοῦ οἰϰείου πατϱὸς ἐνοϱδίνους γεγονότας τύπους, ϰαὶ ϰελεύει πεϱᾶσαι ἐπὶ τὴν Θϱᾴϰην τὰ ϰαβαλλαϱιϰὰ ϑέματα Βουλόμενος τούς τε Νουλγάτους ϰαὶ τὰς Σϰλαυινίας αἰχμαλωτίσαι.
Translation AM 6179 (686/7) (p. 507) The emperor (…) broke the peace that had been concluded with the Bulgars, upsetting the formal treaty made by his own father, and ordered the cavalry themata to cross over to Thrace, intending to conquer the Bulgars and Sklavinias.
Summary The peace with the Bulgars is broken by emperor Justinian II, with the Roman cavalry crossing over into Thrace with a view of conquering both the Bulgars and the Slavs, called Sklavinias.
