Text De fide catholica contra Iudaeos (601 - 636) Isidore of Seville
Translation For after he said he was taken up into heaven, and lead before the Father, he adds: and to him was given the power, and the honour, and the kingdom, and all the peoples, tribes and languages shall serve him. Which tribes, unless the people of the Hebrews? What languages, unless the nations of the gentiles? Also the prophet Amos calls the Jews from God thus to the kingdom of Christ: 'Prepare yourself for the meeting with your Lord God, Israel, for behold it is I who make strong the thunder and create the spirit, announcing to men his Christ'.
