Quotation Quo die [et] Dominici baptismatis sacramentum et permutatae in uinum aquae, factorum per Dominum signorum principia extiterunt. Duae sunt autem epiphaniae: prima, in qua natus Christus [et] pastoribus Hebraeorum angelo nuntiante apparuit; secunda, in qua ex gentium populis stella praesepis cunabula Magos adoraturos exhibuit.
Translation 7 . [Also] on Epiphany day were manifest the sacrament of the Lord’s baptism and the water changed into wine, the first of the signs performed by the Lord. 8 . There are, in fact, two epiphanies: the first, in which, when the angel announced it, the newborn Christ appeared to the Hebrew shepherds; the second, in which a star, by its guidance, caused Magi from the pagan peoples to come to worship at the cradle that was a manger.
