Translation |
On account of this his people, perceiving his religious devotion in Christ, began to honour him more attentively and to bring many things to him for the sake of distribution as alms, which he, who was full of the love of God and his neighbours, gave away everything as solace to the poor, and he especially paid for the redemption of captives.
