Amen.
Translation Wherefore, dearest brothers, most holy fathers, most joyful sons and people of all the holy congregation who came together at the festival of so great a patron, make yourselves worthy that almighty God should hear your prayers through his intercessions. (...) Decorate yourselves with spiritual beauty, the glory of charity which towers over everything and the strength of conquering faith and the sweetest goodness of the hope of Christ, always following the footsteps of the most holy fathers, so that going by their examples, we might be made worthy of their company, and following the apostle in rejecting impiety and worldly desires, we might live soberly and piously and justly in this world, awaiting the blessed hope and the advent of the glory of the great God and our saviour Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us, so that he would redeem us from all iniquity and make clean a people acceptable unto himself, the reaper of good works, to whom glory and praise, virtue and rule, power and the kingdom with God the father and the Holy Spirit, in all the perpetuities of the world. Amen. (trans. Laura Gazzoli)
