Summary |
In 455, Hydatius reports on a naval raid carried out by some four hundred Heruli on seven ships. The small group of marauders was repelled near the city of Lugo, but could plunder ‘unmercifull’ (crudelissime) the coasts of Cantabria and Vardulia. |
