Translation |
At this time [during Constantine’s reign] the emperors became Christians […] Thereupon we all enjoyed the tranquillity brought upon us through peace. We do not think that there will be any further persecutions, except that which the Antichrist will carry out at the end of this age. For it has been announced in the Sacred Scriptures that the earth will be afflicted by ten plagues: nine of these have already taken place; that which is yet to come will be the last. |
