Quotation Quodam igitur tempore, dum venerabilis vir iter euangelizandi more solito egisset, venit ad quandam villam [insulam] [insulam oceani] Walichrum nomine, in qua antiqui erroris idolum remansit. [ad quod statuto tempore omnis congregabatur populus, illud colens summa veneratione]
Translation Thus, when the venerable man, according to his custom, was on one of his missionary journeys he came to a village (variant: island, or island of the ocean) called Walichrum, where an idol of the ancient superstition remained (some MSS add: 'to which, at the appointed time, the entire people comes together and worships it with the utmost veneration).
