Translation |
14. How the Britons, rendered desperate by famine, drove the barbarians out of their land; and how there quickly followed, first abundance of corn and then riotous living and pestilence and finally doom uponthe race.
15. How the Angles were invited to Britain and at first drove the enemy away; but not long afterwards the Angles made a treaty with them and turned their weapons against their allies.
