Comment | It is uncertain whether the laws edited as Aistulf Nos 23-24 were actually issued by Aistulf [Event, ID:98], or if they only later became associated with the Ahistulfi Legis [Text, ID:1119] and in became part of the Edictus Langobardorum [Text, ID:984]. |

Kommentar | Aistulfs’ date of birth is unknown. Aistulf was made king of the Lombards in 749 until his death in 756 [Event, ID:95]. Aistulf issued additions to the Edictus Langobardorum [Text, ID:984] edited as Ahistulfi Legis [Text, ID:$]. These laws were issued in two or three main legislative phases: The first on the 1 March 750 [Event, ID:96, Text, ID:1120], the second on 1 March 755 [Event, ID:97, Text, ID:1121], and the third comprising two laws that have not been securely attributed to him, but if genuine must have been issued in 755 or 756 [Event, ID:98, Text, ID:1122]. |
